Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 Runs On Windows Mobile 6.5

Xperia X2 is the first smartphone from Sony Ericsson with Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system and successor to the highly acclaimed Xperia. The X2 is supposed to have increased especially in speed and ease of use.

Compared to its predecessor, it can be with the Xperia X2 to work faster, according to the manufacturer about 40 percent. The control can be transferred via the touch-sensitive 3.2-inch screen, using the vertically-keyboard or via the extra buttons on the front panel.

The camera of the new smartphone has a resolution of 8.1 megapixels. By comparison, the previous model Xperia X1 only had a 3.2-megapixel camera. Samsung W880 AMOLED 12MP Camera Phone

Samsung launched its SCH-W880 AMOLED 12 MP camera phone which is the world's first 12-megapixel mobile phone that supports 3-times optical zoom. The Samsung SCH-W880 is a true multimedia device which will be available only to the South Korean market. At the 3.3-inch AMOLED display, wonderful movies, photos and multimedia documents can be viewed with its WVGA resolution. A 3x optical zoom makes the phone not only look like a camera, but also makes it a much higher quality device similar to that of a real point and shoot camera. The camera has features such as image stabilizer, a 6-fold digital zoom, xenon flash and can record videos in HD at 720p.

The SCH-W880 is a veritable media player making mobile television possible as well. Additional features include HSDPA for faster data transfer, GPS and Bluetooth. The internal memory of the W880 is 4GB and has an expandable memory slot of up to 32GB. Video file format supported are MPEG4, H.263, H.264, DivX and Xvid plus the usual sound file support of MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC+e and WMA.

Sony Ericsson Aino 8.1 MP Touchscreen Phone

In parallel with the Symbian smartphone Satio, Sony Ericsson has unveiled another mobile phone, Aino, which also comes with the touch screen capability. Aino is available in the form of a slider bar keypad and a Bluetooth stereo headset is also included in the package.

To be able to take pictures at any time, the Sony Ericsson Aino is equipped with a digital camera that shoots photos at a resolution of 8.1 megapixels. In addition, the camera has a 16x digital zoom and a photo light at the side.

The touch screen is in a 3 inch format with a maximum resolution of 240 x 432 pixels and can display up to 16.8 million colors. The Aino is maintained in a dimension of 104 x 50 x 15.5 millimeters and has a weight of 134 grams.

The capacity of the internal memory is 55 megabytes and an expandable memory via the microSD slot - 8G MMC comes with the package.

The phone is expected to be available in the country by the last quarter of 2009 which is available in Obsidian Black and Luminous White colors. The price however is still not definite in the local market.

Acer Liquid A1 Android Phone

The world's first Android smartphone with a 1GHz Snapdragon chipset processor and clock speed was now announced by Acer. This fast smartphone was named as Acer Liquid A1. It is the first model of their liquid series as according to Acer.

The snapdragon processor for your information has the highest performance chipset for high definition resulution. The phone's HD-capable touch screen currently offers the best condition to view pictures and videos.

Acer holds back yet for specific technical details but promises to HSPA for fast browsing and camera with geotagging, ISO and autofocus. The addition of the exclusive Spinlet is also added for free streaming of music and video. The very common fast data connections are also integrated such as Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS, HSDP and USB. The internal memory can be expanded via microSD card.

According to Acer, it has this "easy access to entertainment capability thus Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Picasa and Flickr are also integrated in the address book, notes on new content and status updates that occur amazingly in real time.

The camera quality is also quite good as it is provided with a 5 megapixels however flash functions are missing. The screen size measures 3.5 inches with a resolution of 800x400 pixels; touch sensitive.

Sony Ericsson C901 a.k.a. Filippa - 5MP Camera Phone

Sony Ericsson's C901 was now officially launched in the market with its new name, Filippa. The phone model was first released in Denmark. The smartphone is similar to the Sony Ericsson C903 since the camera functions are almost the same like the 5 megapixel camera, autofocus, Smile detector, BestPic, Smile Contrast, Photofix and geotagging. However, the C901 like the K series uses a real Xenon flash insted of LED light. The display size measures 2.2 inches having a resolution of 240x320 pixels.

A plus point for this phone is the upload accelerator HSUPA, who's been missing on some othe C series. The Sony Ericsson C901 comes with a quad band frequency, an FM radio, accelerometer and Bluetooth. Also, for applications like Youtube, Google Maps and Exchange ActiveSync, the software is already preinstalled. The colors available are Noble Black, Sincere Silver and Precious Peach.
