Samsung launched its SCH-W880 AMOLED 12 MP camera phone which is the world's first 12-megapixel mobile phone that supports 3-times optical zoom. The Samsung SCH-W880 is a true multimedia device which will be available only to the South Korean market. At the 3.3-inch AMOLED display, wonderful movies, photos and multimedia documents can be viewed with its WVGA resolution. A 3x optical zoom makes the phone not only look like a camera, but also makes it a much higher quality device similar to that of a real point and shoot camera. The camera has features such as image stabilizer, a 6-fold digital zoom, xenon flash and can record videos in HD at 720p.The SCH-W880 is a veritable media player making mobile television possible as well. Additional features include HSDPA for faster data transfer, GPS and Bluetooth. The internal memory of the W880 is 4GB and has an expandable memory slot of up to 32GB. Video file format supported are MPEG4, H.263, H.264, DivX and Xvid plus the usual sound file support of MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC+e and WMA.
